Weather on your Wedding Day
It doesn’t matter how much research you put into working out the driest day of the year or how much time you spend ensuring every single little detail of your day, one thing you need to understand from day one, is that you cannot control the weather. Even the best wedding planner in the world cannot guarantee you beautiful sunshine at just the right temperature with just a slight breeze on the day of your wedding, unfortunately money cannot pay for this service, however you can ensure you have a back up plan just in case.
The first thing to do is to ensure you speak to your wedding venue and ensure any outdoor elements of the wedding have a back up option. Almost every venue will have an indoor space for you to use just in case, so it’s worth baring this option in mind when designing your big day and choosing the colour scheme.
Make sure you speak to the photographer and have wet weather location options ready just in case. The last thing you want to do is plan every single portrait to be taken outside for the heavens to open and spoil your dream. If you heart is set on outdoor portraits, then its always a possibility that you may have a dry spell so allow a little bit of flexibility within your schedule to disappear for 30 minutes to get a few shots.
If you’ve made the decision to choose a venue with no back up options at all, then make sure the rain cannot spoil your day. Be prepared within the option of marquees, umbrellas, wellies. Make a feature with different colours and you can create some beautiful and quirky memories!
And just remember, rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck.
